Program Objectives

Policy Forum:
Discuss legislation to promote plug-in vehicles and their Infrastructure. Explore case studies of progressive EV policy. Examine the impact that Low Carbon Fuel Standard will have on the adaption of plug-in vehicles.

Fleet Outreach:
Increase interest and awareness among state officials, municipalities and private companies of the benefits of plug-in vehicles. Highlight a case study of early fleet adaption.

Research and Development Overview:
  • Highlight URI and Brown University collaboration on lithium-ion batteries research, jumpstarted by the RI Science and Technology Advisory Council.
  • Showcase regional and national corporate research and development efforts to improve plug-in vehicle technology

Vehicle Display:
Display commercially available EVs, PHEVS and emerging technologies
